The Max Planck Institute for Meteorology is dedicated to fundamental climate research acting as the focal point of climate research in Germany for 30 years. The overall mission of MPG-M is to understand how chemical, physical, and biological processes, as well as human behaviour contribute to the dynamics of the Earth system, specifically in relation to global change.
Globals scale ocean carbon modelling, Global scale modelling of Vegetation, including wetlands, permafrost and peat, C-climate feedbacks.
